U.S. Marshals Museum

Honoring those who have served to protect the freedoms of this country and all who live within it.

ROLE: Concept Designer

COMPANY: Thinkwell Group

"High-tech interactive exhibits that tell the story of the U.S. Marshals are planned in Fort Smith’s museum under active development. The western frontier era is a featured star, with storytelling exhibits that incorporate campfire and saloon settings. But galleries designed by Thinkwell of Los Angeles intend to capture the full history of the U.S. Marshals Service from 1789 to the present with all of the flair of a modern museum and still holding a deep respect for a law institution that played pivotal roles in the nation’s history. Interactive exhibits will allow visitors to draw their own conclusions from episodes such as the Whiskey Rebellion, the Indian Removal Act, the Civil Rights Era, Ruby Ridge or the Goingsnake Massacre. Visitors to the museum will be provided answers to the questions being sought for certain incidents, but they might have to dig for them a little bit using interactive visual tools."

My Role…

For this project, I have been meticulously developing sketches and 3D models in collaboration with the Creative and Art Directors to ensure that our project authentically conveys the historical narrative through both its artifacts and design elements within a compact museum environment. However, my primary focus has been working intimately with our partners to conceive the Hall of Honor, a poignant memorial dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of those who served as Marshals of the United States. This involved daily coordination with our Show Set Design team to oversee the faithful translation of our design concepts into the creation of the CAD package.
